one reason the entries in this space can be so free is that i have chosen to be truthful behind the easy barricade of this persona. identifying information has been stripped away, so that i can be as forthcoming as possible. it doesn't help, then, when i receive communications seeking to break through the fourth wall.

if i wanted to communicate other than through this space, i'd do so. intimations, attempts to flush me out and other methods of attempted control only affirm for me the growing suspicion that men can't let well enough alone.

although you're with me on this journey and i enjoy having you, i am fully capable of ending this journal.

enjoy my adventures. that's all.

I understand where you're coming from on this. My journal's a similar situation although foolishly I've put in more information than I should have, mostly because I've developed a lot of trust for some of my LJ friends.

But someone actively attempting to break through your privacy, that's just rude.

I'm seeing more and more entries like this lately. I guess with all the people out there who hold nothing back in terms of personal info, pictures, etc. that people are getting bigger balls to try to tear down the walls of the ones who want to keep that privacy. Looking at my journal from when I was private and wrote more about raw emotions rather than the situations that drove them, compared to my journal now where the people in my everyday life have access to see it, its like reading two completely different peoples journals.

But don't let one bad apple ruin it for the rest of us!

I'm totally with you here. I certainly value the importance of privacy (as you can tell by how I keep an LJ and how I choose to post on others', such as yours). Hence, I will respect your own to the utmost while, as you said, I and privileged others "enjoy your adventures" as you see fit to write them-- and nothing more. It's too bad when you receive posts from those who can't leave well enough alone and try to "break through the fourth wall." As Risingtofall has just posted above, please don't let one (or two, for that matter) bad apple ruin it for the rest of us!

i keep multiple journals. this one is my sex journal, so there's no personal identifying info in it. when i get requests for more info, i just say no.

just an FYI: I know several people, myself included, who know the true identity of this writer. Of course it doesn't make me enjoy it any less.

Write on!
